The generous portion sizes also get high marks, ensuring no one leaves hungry. Most importantly, the nostalgia of the experience resonates with many who find it reminiscent of their childhood.

Although the takeaway service is generally smooth, a few have reported mix-ups with orders. While the fish and chips receive rave reviews, some may wish for a broader menu selection that includes more unique sides and desserts. The popularity of the shop can also mean that certain fan-favorite items may occasionally be sold out.
Just stopped in Marsden and noticed this fish and chip shop, had fish and chips, the best we've had in a long time. Both the fish and the chips were freshly cooked and plenty for us.
With a decline in decent fish and chips in the Holme Valley. We visited this establishment and was not disappointed! The best I've eaten in a long time. They were freshly made to order and still very hot when arrived back home. I tried their Irish curry sauce which has a sweet/sour flavour and quite spicy. I'll definitely be back for more.
Being gluten intolerant isn't fun and I love fish and chips. There aren't many fish fryers who do gluten free batter. I tried your gluten free fish and chips on Friday night travelling from Longwood after my partner had read your post on Facebook. Wow I think I've just tasted the best gluten free fish and chips in Yorkshire and we'll definitely be back. To experience crispy gluten free batter on a great fish was brilliant.
Been in a few times for a fish butty just been in now actually the staff are brilliant really kind food tastes amazing would recommend here for everyone
I visited on Saturday, March 8th. The premises were impeccably clean, the staff were exceptionally courteous, and, most significantly, the fish and chips were outstanding. This meal perfectly replicated my childhood memories of authentic fish and chips. Sadly, real chip shops are rare, but I'm so glad I discovered one by chance.
Amazing! The best fish and chips I've had for a long time! Great service too 👍🏼
